  • I had a laparatomy for a twisted ovarian cyst at the age of 13. That's the same kind of cut they do for a cesarean. I was in the hospital for 8 days and was in so much agony I had morphine for 3. My stomach still doesn't feel 'normal' a decade later.

  • You're absolutely right. I'm glad to see a parent living vicariously in a sane, balanced way. It's healthy to want to give your kids better than what you had, but parents often miss the mark by going the polar opposite of the spectrum, not balancing it.

  • Aww, that's so cute! Thanks for doing a good job guiding your kids instead of pampering or smacking the stuffing out of them. It seems parents nowadays just can't settle between the two extremes.
